Many dog owners become discouraged when they realize that some dogs are not the naturally well behaved, loyal, obedient companions they had dreamed about.
Dogs require consistent, clear communication, and patience to shape them into the pup we want them to be. Training plays a critical role in a dog’s development and ability to safely interact with their environment. Home schooling has many advantages including real life skill building. These sessions are done in your home and neighbourhood where your dog spends the majority of its life. All packages must be completed within 90 days.
Obedience – Basic
Puppy Kindergarten
10- 52 weeks of age

Includes:
- Positive reinforcement training techniques
- Behaviour and life stages education
- Luring and shaping techniques
- Skills include; name recognition, watch me, touch, sit, down, recall, leave it, loose leash walking techniques and more
- Weekly homework assignments
- Weekly summary of training session
- Problem solving discussions
- Follow up training plan
- Access to your trainer via phone, text or email
You’ll need; treats, a treat bag (optional), a buckle collar, a 6 foot lead (leash), a 20- 30 foot training leash, a minimum of 30 minutes a day commitment to training, and patience, patience and more patience.
Obedience – Advanced
The Next Step

Looking to take it up a notch and challenge yourself and your pup? Already have the basics covered? This one’s for you. Building on previous knowledge from basic obedience we fine tune your communication skills and build on previous established cues, making your bond stronger than ever.
Includes:
- Positive reinforcement training techniques
- Review of basic obedience techniques and cues
- Redirection techniques
- Following cues when distractions are present
- Proper heel cue and action
- Off leash work
- Your choice of two of the following; settle, place, fetch, put away, find it and more
You’ll need; treats, a treat bag (optional), a buckle collar, a 6 foot lead (leash), a 20-30 foot training leash, a minimum of 30 minutes a day commitment to training, and patience, patience and more patience.
Resilience Package
Oops, I Did It Again!
Pulling your hair out? Having difficulty understanding and bonding with your pup? We can help. Here we learn about behaviour thresholds and understanding stress triggers your dog may have. We build upon your dog’s skills and assets, redirecting nuisance behaviours into acceptable ones.
Package of 3 training sessions (up to 60 minutes each)
$400 (+GST)
(Larger training packages available upon discussion with your trainer.)
Work with a professional trainer on one specific nuisance behaviours such as:
- Pulling on the leash
- Chewing / nipping
- Jumping
- Resource guarding
- Transportation anxiety
- Poor recall
Each session is 45-60 minutes and includes a comprehensive accountability and training plan. Worried about more than one problem? Training for additional nuisance behaviours is available upon discussion with your trainer. We also include a follow up consultation with your professional dog trainer in person or by phone.
